Demilitarized Zone (DMZ)

A good breakfast to start the day!!! Sister Egbert and myself met Luz and Brian at the Lotte Hotel-(which was beautiful),here the tour office is and signed all the paperwork!! the tour buses were nice and we had an English speaking tour guide. The world split apart depicts the separation of North and South Korea. This was at the 3rd Tunnel of aggression-just one of several tunnels the North Koreans dug under the DMZ. Discovered in 1980. We took a tram down to the actual tunnel and had to wear hard hats to keep from hitting our heads on the rocky ceiling. Ruthie was standing on the 38th parallel at an Observation point. We met President Bush at the Railway station and after had a great lunch!! Freedom Wall brought tears to our eyes and was the Highlight of the Trip. It was a very enjoyable day but at the same time it made you realize this country is still at War!!
